Spokane Watercolor Society is a growing community of artists whose skills range from beginners to professionals. Primarily using watercolor in our creative practice we associate in order to share knowledge and resources, build skills, and encourage artistic and creative growth.
What is a Signature Artist?
Signature Membership in our society denotes member artists who have achieved a high level of artistic watercolor painting skill. SWS Signature membership entitles an artist to include the society’s initials "SWS" behind their name when signing their work. SWS Signature membership was established in 2017 and qualified members were first recognized at that year's annual business meeting.
How to become a Signature Artist
According to our bylaws, signature membership is awarded to members in good standing whose work has earned 9 points within ten consecutive years by being juried into a SWS National Juried Show (3pts) or SWS Juried Member Show (1pt).
